Leading genomics into everyday health care

Genomics Australia was established to provide leadership and expertise in health genomics. Our mission is to support the better integration of genomics into the Australian health system in a person- and family-centred, culturally safe, efficient, effective, ethical and equitable way. 

Genomics is transforming how we understand and treat disease. Its applications extend from the healthcare professional’s office to public health and research. By revealing how genes influence health, genomics helps detect conditions earlier, tailor treatments and uncover new ways to prevent illness for future generations.
