National framework for genomics in health care
The Australian Government has updated the National Health Genomics Policy Framework.
The National Health Genomics Policy Framework and Implementation Plan 2026 – 2030 provides a national, intergovernmental approach to embed genomics into the Australian health system in a person- and family-centred, culturally safe, efficient, effective, ethical, and equitable way.
Collaboration with state and territory governments, the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Advisory Group on Health Genomics and public collaboration informed the final publication.
